One of the two original beach communities along 30A, Grayton is a funky little beach town full of free-spirited folks with a laid-back attitude. Grayton is characterized by hand-painted signs, pet-friendly spots, and even friendlier locals. The narrow roads are shaded by southern magnolias, towering pines and moss-draped oaks. An eclectic mix of quaint historic beach cottages, modern beach homes, picket fences, old oak trees, funky art and great dining and shopping makes Grayton Beach a popular 30A community. The town of Grayton Beach is mostly nestled inside Grayton Beach State Park and spreads right down to the beach and the Gulf of Mexico. On the beach you can relax and watch families play where Western Lake kisses the Gulf. Wildlife and fish are abundant. Heading out right from the beach every day are the boats and captains that make up the Grayton Beach fishing charters known by locals as the “Mosquito Fleet”.
